Christopher Bulman is president, founder, and leading advisor with Bulman Wealth Group. An Investment Advisor Representative, Chris has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services arena and is fully licensed in both securities and life insurance.
He provides his client with as many options and tools available to help them develop the right plans to achieve and sustain their financial security. His beautiful wife Sarah and 4 wonderful boys, Reid, Luke, Liam, and Colin bring the most joy to his life. Most of his spare time is filled with family basketball games, golf outings, travel, and family-room sing and dance sessions. Chris has been a long time member of the Rotary Club and the Elks Lodge and a has served on the Folsom City Planning Commission for 2 terms. Chris is also host of The Financial Compass radio show, Sundays at Noon on KFBK 1530AM and 93.1FM, Sacramento. Also on IheartRadio, Google Play, Soundcloud, and iTunes.
MEET THE TEAM
Investment Advisor Representative Scott, a native to Michigan, graduated from Central Michigan University in 2002. After spending the next seven years as a television sportscaster in Mississippi, he decided to give up the anchor desk and enter a field where he could be much more helpful to people. Scott joined the financial services industry in February 2009 at Capital Preservation Services in Flowood, Mississippi, and has never looked back.
After over two successful years there, he and his wife, Julie, made the move to her home state of California. Scott and Julie have since welcomed their two children into the world; Jordan and Siena. Siena is three years old while her brother was born in late 2016.
Scott prides himself on his ability to relate to clients and help them put financial plans into place to get them to retirement and beyond. The financial world can be very complicated, but Scott helps make it easier for his clients to navigate the ever-changing climate surrounding it. His flexibility as an independent agent also allows him to help find the best fit for the client and ensure that he works for them, not any one company.
In his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, watching basketball and soccer and listening to music.
Financial Advisor - Steven Sprague Jr. has over 20 years of financial planning, insurance, risk management, marketing, and sales and business management experience. He has developed curriculums and grants, written and published 24 articles, and provided thousands of hours of technical, sales, and medical training. Steve has been a sales and production leader for multiple years. He was actively involved with Rotary International for over 14 years, serving as fine master, and a received the Paul Harris Fellow Award.
Steve attended the University of California at Davis, where he played football while obtaining degrees in English and Psychology, all while he and his wife, also a full-time student, were raising their children. He spent many years as a Scottish games athlete and continues to be a fitness enthusiast. As a hobby, Steve can occasionally be seen performing stand-up comedy.
In concurrence with being a financial advisor, Steve has 18 years of fire and emergency medical experience. Unable to continue as a professional firefighter, Steve relishes the opportunity to continue to help protect the lives, families, and financial futures of his clients. He was heavily involved in all aspects of his children’s lives — acting as their sports coach, room-dad minivan driver, and loud cheerleader. He is extremely proud of the adults they have become. His daughter has recently completed her PhD, and his son has just finished his bachelor’s degree; family is extremely important to him. After many years of responding to medical emergencies, he has seen first-hand the necessity for taking the time to protect your loved ones and plan ahead.
Todd is a “local boy” who graduated from Folsom High School and attended Monterey Peninsula College, where he excelled in his studies and competitive golf. He even played professionally for a short time on the Pepsi Tour, making lifelong friends in the world of golf and finance. Todd is a family man and very close to his parents and grandparents. He is married to his college sweetheart, Mackenzie, and together, they’re raising their young son, Sullivan. In his spare time, Todd coaches his son in baseball, soccer, and golf. He is also a member of the Roseville Gold League, a local service-oriented organization.
Todd considers himself a people person and is very customer service oriented. He cares about his clients’ well-being as much as he does his own. He gives a laugh, smile, and hug to everyone he meets. Todd worked for over 17 years at a locally-owned family business and successfully led the company in sales, sales management, and customer service. Because of his family-business background, he offers an individual approach to financial planning.
Carol has worked in the financial services for several decades. In the course of those years she took time off to raise her daughter prior to her hiatus, she was a Supervisor for the East Coast team of variable annuity internal wholesalers at Pacific Life and worked as a Vice President/OSJ at Related Capital Corp., a real estate investment firm. Here at Bulman Wealth group, with her past expertise in the industry, she serves as the brains behind all account opening, our liaison to outside companies, and your go to for any questions. When she is not happily answering your phone call, she is out for a run, creating scavenger hunts for her daughter, planning a party or hanging with her local neighborhood crew.
Sarah is our Special Projects Manager, covering many internal functions to keep our office running smoothly. She comes from a background of diverse experience, holding various positions that benefits her ability and skills to balance the many projects she has her hands on. When she is not in the office, you can find her hugging elephants in other countries, hiking up a mountain or singing along to her favorite country artist.
Al’s use of easy-to-understand concepts and plainspoken style reassures his clients that he understands their needs, respects their time, and can be counted on for critical information and leadership. As part of Bulman Wealth Group, his clients also understand they have access to not only critical information but also to trustworthy advice from a team of professionals and sources.
Al graduated from St. Ignatius Jesuit Prep High School, attended San Francisco State as a pre-med student, and received an associate’s degree in business administration from San Francisco City College. Al earned a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser license from the State of California Office of Real Estate Appraisers, and his Property and Casualty, Life, Accident and Health Insurance Broker license from the California Department of Insurance.
In addition to his charitable work with the First Tee of Sacramento, the Folsom Historical Society and church activities, Al happily spends his free time with his wife of 30 years, their three grown children and enjoying tennis, golf, fishing and his project cars.
While never having the desire to surf, Jenny relocated from her hometown of Santa Cruz County to the snow-covered mountains of Lake Tahoe. As she settled into life in Sacramento, she earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication studies from California State University, Sacramento. Jenny enjoys hikes and lake trips with her pride and joy, Lady, a doberman/German shepherd pup. On long Sacramento summer days, she also enjoys golfing, wine tasting, and attending music events with friends and family.
Jenny’s personal passion is acting as an agent of change and uncovering new opportunities for clients. She is a leader and coach by nature, and most her off-hours are spent training or coaching at a local CrossFit gym. Jenny believes in the power of communication to help clients receive results. Her goal is to seek understanding, guide, and inspire when working with others. Her fulfillment comes from helping others realize and develop their own potential.
Jenny’s strength of character and care for others has transpired in her role as a Business Development Partner over the last decade. She has collaborated with small business owners in the beauty industry to analyze business growth opportunities through marketing, employee or client retention and recruitment, customer relations, branding, culture, and more. This knowledge led her to take on her own business with the desire to help more industries and individuals. She is proud to offer support to individuals and small businesses with investments for their future, as well as insurance to protect their income and families today.
Obeth is a traveler who visited, studied, and lived abroad before finally rooted himself in Rocklin, CA. He studied business at Lake Tahoe Community College, American River College, and obtained a degree in global business management from the University of Phoenix. He excelled in the hospitality business and leading teams in the automobile industry. He made the decision to switch from selling to his customers to advising business owners and employees on how to help protect their income and assets.
Through witnessing how uncertain economic times has affected clients, and experiencing it firsthand, Obeth is passionate about advising his clients on how to keep and grow what they’ve worked hard to obtain. His planning approach is based on understanding his clients’ needs and how they envision their future. Keeping those needs in mind, he works to tailor strategies based on the client’s priorities, timelines, risk tolerance, cash needs, and future goals. He is passionate about building added security and confidence for his clients in this complex retirement and investment landscape.
Obeth holds life insurance licenses in California and Washington. As an independent advisor, he feels confident in providing products that best fit his clients’ needs.
Obeth is married to his lovely wife, Leah, and they live in Rocklin with their four boys: Obie, Noah, Otto, and Massimo. He loves cooking and entertaining, improving his CrossFit game, and trying to keep up with his childrens’ activities in baseball and basketball.
